You can get rid of it if you are using the Firefox browser by downloading the "Adblock Plus" extension from the Firefox site. It's easy and works almost instantaneously. And, oddly enough, it makes almost all my pages download faster.
adblockplus dot org
I haven't used it but supposedly Internet Explorer users can get similar results from a plug-in called "Adblock Pro."
adblockpro dot com
(Hmmm... Yahoo blocked me putting in the direct URLs.)

(It is interesting that such an ad is prompting people to seek out ad-blocking software, which is blocking Yahoo!'s revenue stream. Isn't it ironic that by posting that ad, they may be destroying a big part of their income potential?)

At the top right of the screen is a link to the Forum.
When you go there, find the complaint that has hundreds of votes, and vote, and, if you want, leave a snippy comment.
Yes, it drives me nuts. Annoying, innane, no point to it.
And I tend to have a lot of windows open so they blather on incessently, even talking over themselves, when more than one is playing at a time.
Idiotic drivel, to say the least.
Edit to add: I see the question asking if it was wrong to want to kill them was removed, so I'll give my answer here.
Yes, it's wrong to want to kill them, as locking them in a small room where they have to listen to their drivel incessantly for 25 years is a MUCH more fitting punishment.
(I usually report non-questions, but have not been reporting all the complaints about those two morons -- THAT's how p-oed I am.)

It drove me nuts. I was about to find another forum, and then I found a plug-in for FireFox that took care of that ad for me.

Just turn your speakers off. It will eventually run off people and then they will do something about it. Or maybe not!!! We all may need to leave.
