For Christ to be savior, He had to live a perfect life, die, and rise again. to be a savior He had to save us from something, that would be sin. To accomplish that he had to be a perfect sacrifice. And to fully beat sin he had to rise again. Paul talks about this when addressing the Corinthians i believe. I know its paul, just not sure about Corinthians.

According to the book of Hebrews he was tested and had to prove faithful to his God and Father in all things.

Jesus was the only person who fulfilled the Law of Mosess and thus 'earned' salvation.

If Jesus had proved unfaithful, he would have lost his life, and our hope of life.

Jehovah had so much faith in Jesus, he could declare the outcome prior to it's conclusion.
