im gettin a PS3 for christmas and so i had a game i went out and bought uncharted. They said uncharted looks AMAZING but how can it look amazing if the box saus its only 720p? most xbox games are 1080i/1080p so how come a PS3 game is only 720p? is this based on the "blue ray scale"? are all PS3 games 720p? any info would help!

I dunno if Uncharted is 720p or not, but i do know that 720p does look amazing. Its a HUGE leap from SD to 720p HD!!! Its not however a huge leap from 720p to 1080p, if fact some would say its only noticeable on big TVs 40" or bigger. So you don't need 1080p to have an amazing picture, 720p is amazing on its own!
PS. No not all PS3 games are 720p only, in fact i highly doubt that Uncharted even is (ok my bad wiki says it is only 720p so i believe 'em). I have call of duty 4 and its 1080p, even motorstorm, which is more than a year old goes up to 1080i. The thing to remmember tho is to get 1080p you need a 1080p TV and HDMI cables, and like I said b4, there isnt much of a difference between 720 and 1080p, especially on 40" and below.

To be honest, most 360/PS3 games aren't 1080i/p.
Halo, is about 600p.
More PS3 games than 360 games can run in 1080p, but at the minute most, especially third party titles, don't.
Best not to get caught up in the minutiae of it all, because 720p still looks great.
