2 Thessalonians 2:3 Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for (that day will not come) until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.

If I may, can I ask a question that if you answer should enlighten you and maybe others.Continue reading from the text you quote, 2 Thess. 2:4 Is there any religious organization today that sets a man up in God's temple proclaiming to be God on earth and issuing edicts and bulls as if he were from God? Does that organization say that this man has the power to forgive sin? Does he have the power to change days and holidays? Can this man tell his parishes how they must worship? Look further into verses 9-12 What institution claims miracles and signs (maybe from the blessed virgin) and deceives those perishing? They refuse to love the truth and therefore God sends them powerful delusion. I think if you truthfully answer the above questions the answer will be obvious. I don't know, I just find it interesting. God Bless

The Mystery of Iniquity. For the secret of lawlessness is already at work through state-incorporated "Christianity." Don't they teach that the commandments are "done away" with, the first four for sure? The man of lawlessness (sin) will be what many refer to as the Anti-Messiah, the one who is against and in place of the true Messiah. He's the exact opposite. And we all know the psychopomp, the man in luxurious religious regalia, as Benedict XVI who will be leading the pagan procession of Natalis Sol Invicti the night of the 24th, a few days from now. It'll be televised worldwide.
In regards to 2nd Thessalonians 2:3-12, MattithYah 24:15, etc., I think it is probably referring to the final usurpation by the papacy of the 3rd Jewish temple to be built in Jerusalem where either the then reigning pope (false prophet) or his Superior General (Society of Jesus) will sit and claim to be God. Unbeknowst to the Jews at this time (today) is that they will REJECT the lawless one, just as they REJECT lawless Christianity today! So lets begin embracing the Covenant of Love, the Commandments, because Yisrael are the chosen people, not lawless, abundantly rich "State-incorporated" Christianity. Lutherans, and every other denomination you can think of, are all participating in the lawlessness. And remember, all the kings of the earth are fornicating with her as well.
Good question, by the way.

There may or may not be one man arise that is called the son of perdition, because there are many antichrists, but one thing to keep in mind is that the spirit of antichrist is revealed.
Those who do not believe will not recognize the antichrist spirit. It is not revealed to them because they receive not the love of the truth. If one man rises up to unite the world under one leader all who do not believe will think that he is the one bringing world peace, and they are deceived into thinking so.

Lawless- saying the commandments are nailed to the cross, and therefore done away with. Martin Luther taught that the Pope was the Anti-Messiah. What part of that is unclear?

If Martin Luther had opposed the Pope, he would have been burned alive at the stake. Martin Luther and the Pope are part of the same conspiracy.

It speaks of what the "Ancient Monks and Leaders " used, to frighten and keep the masses in obeyance and themselves at (or near) the top of the tree.

This refers to the Little Horn. (Please read Daniel Ch 7)
I do not believe he has been revealed yet. It is still a prophecy and will soon be history.
