I am canning apricot-pineapple jam and have a recipe that calls for jello and don't want to waste my fruit on a recipe that dosen't work.

You can only use canned pineapple with jello or any other kind of gelatin dish. Fresh pineapple, as well as a few other fruits, have an enzyme that will not allow the gel to set up. The heat that is used to pasteurize the canned pineapple turn off that enzyme.

Be sure to drain it good or replace some of the water in the recipe with pineapple juice instead

Not according to the jello package..as I remember I D K W??
why not use a real recipe
check gelatin and corn starch and flour..???

Just drain it real well before you add it to the jello. Boy EVERYBODY is cookin' up a storm today. I better do the same..Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
