No, Many lower cost computers come with works, but just un-install it since it's not compatible with any other products (even other Microsoft products).
The Open Office tools are nearly as good as regular Office and are much more compatible.

Many of them do, but the latest version of Works has Word as its word processor. Many of them come with a trial version (60 days) of MS Office with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint. One thing that Works has, that Office lacks, is a simple, easy to use database that allows viewing the data in table or form layout and is much easier and direct to use than Access, which I dislike intensely.

no i would say most new ones come with Word, my old comp with ME came with works it drove me up the wall.
