How do you define peace?

Unfortunately I noticed that some people define peace as surrender.

So how do YOU define peace. I don't want the definition from the dictionary. I want what you really think and would you please relate this to the Issue in the middle east?

You know I love your posts Mimi, but I was very, very upset to see you claim unfairly in another post 'the Jews control the media'. This is one of the oldest and most irrational lies told by anti semites, and I was shocked to read it coming from you.

I would really appreciate it if you would delete the comment, and/or counteract it by stating you know it's rubbish.

Alright. To answer your question: I define peace as the settlement and end of hostilities.
Now for the rest of your post. Again you're talking about "the Jews controlling the media". You do realize, don't you, that that sort of thinking can be found in ALL anti-Semitic circles? Many of the things that you accept as "facts" - that, for example - are simply propaganda put forth by radical Islamists, neo-Nazis and other anti-Semites.

I define peace as ALL people treated the same with the same rights and freedoms, regardless of their ethnicity, religion or citizenship. As well, the same consequences when there is wrongdoing.

In fact, there is only one way to achieve peace in the Middle East. Arab countries must acknowledge and accept their defeat in their war against Israel and, as the losing side should, pay Israel reparations for the more than 50 years of devastation they have visited on it. The most appropriate form of such reparations would be the removal of their terrorist organizations from the land of Israel and accepting Israel's ancient sovereignty over Gaza, Judea, and Samaria. That will mark the end of the "Palestinian people."

And only then will peace be achievable.
