I believe in both, except that God did create the universe and created some type of evolutionary process over milliions of years. The Big Bang theory is what is not logical.

Creation Science?! LOL.. did they teach you that in homeschooling or in the deep south public schools? only those 2 would DARE to call creationsism a science...
As a biochemist, and as a Catholic, I get asked this often.
It is clear to me, as well as anyone who has studied evolutionary biology or even knows their way around a cell... I believe in evolution.
JAY, above me has the exact same point I am tryin to make as well.. good Job Jay.
I personally cant look at a mitochondria of a cell and not think it was created just for this particular person... mitochondria have Maternal DNA stored in a circular thread... This DNA was originally from a virus or bacterium that invaded the percursor to cells as we know them today and became of some use to us providing energy in the form of ATP... how do we know this? Because as stated before, the DNA is circular just like viral and bacterial DNA is... the rest of our human DNA is DOUBLE HELICAL... so this shows CLEARLY that some remnants of other species/evolution are alive inside of all of us today...IT is reasons like this why I am an evolutionist... I wont even get into chimps/great apes and the 98% similiarities between our and their genomes....
BUt I will tell you this.... we can trace evolution ALL the way back to the big bang and we have scientific FACTS to back this up... but what we CANT figure out EVER is WHAT CAUSED THE BIG BANG... it is because of this that I am a believe in God and Jesus Christ... but I do not put stock whatsoever in the fact that the world is 9,000 years old, and God created it in a week... and that Noah rescued ALL the species of animals in the world on 1 boat... these are creation stories and EACH major religion, as well as various Native Middle eastern tribes that were around at the time ALL have4 creation stories about a "great flood"...
The creationist point of view tries unsuccessfully to undermine sound scientific knowledge, yet the VAST VAST VAST majority of these people dont even know what the difference between circular and double helical DNA is, let alone how that shows clear evidence of evolution.

What is Creation Science, God with a beard and little round glasses holding a test tube? Never heard of such a thing. As far as eviloution I did not crawl outta no mud puddle! Darwin = Dimwitt. As far as the Big Bang goes, it happened when God made the universe, I wish I could have heard it I am sure it was a loud one.

Each sect of Christianity seems to develop its own teaching since the advent of Darwinism. I am Roman Catholic, and the Church teaches that the Bible is complete MORAL truth and infallible there. However, it isn't completely literal truth. There are books of history, but Genesis isn't one completely. I believe, after discussions with priests, that the Creation story is how the ancients explained the Earth and Universe and how they came into existance. However, science contradicts the literalness of this story, yet the essense is true. God created the Universe, the Earth, and all life. How he did it isn't as important as the fact that HE did. God operates within the natural laws HE established. So, for all the athiests out there militantly trying to prove God doesn't exist, you're looking at the wrong evidence. Look at the system we have in life - orderly universe, DNA, etc. That is the proof my lads! Not some sudden miracle or timecard with God's name on it stamped for 6 days of work 4600 years ago!!
Other Christians are literalists however. They believe the Bible 100%, as literal truth. These are your evangelicals, Baptists, etc. I respect their faith, but I believe that God gave us minds to reason through problems other than using blind faith.

In the first place, "creation science" is an oxymoron: there is no such thing. You can believe in creationism if you are mentally deficient, but it is not a science: you cannot conduct an experiment to see whether or not it is correct. Evolution is now a proven fact (proof details are available on request), and even the Pope now believes in it.

I just find it intereting that your question assumes all Christians believe in the same way. Clearly from the answers you see here, people - Christian or not - believe a number of different things.

God's creation is there for us to explore (ethically) but he created things like evolution.

As a Christian my beliefs are quite different... I believe that God created everything through evolution... because he mentions that let there be creatures of different kind... and I could see that evolution could have happened at that time.
