To a Buddhist, unfulfilled desire is the cause of all human suffering. If there is a hereafter, then death will not bring an end to suffering. The soul will seek time and again to return to the mortal plane in a quest to fulfill those ever persistant desires.

In some cases, unresolved conflicts are a cause of desire. This is where a lot of karma comes from.

A wise and just God would allow for the return of souls to atone for past damages. And to hopefully leave the world better off than before.

The problem with "Heaven" and "Hell" both is they pretty much leave the consequences of other peoples' actions to be cleaned up by those who survive and the next generation to follow. There is no balance mechanism to set things right. Modern penal systems seem to be modeled after the Western concept of Hell, a place with emphasis solely on punishment and no consideration of restitution/atonement towards the victims or their kin.

Scripture teaches that after death you wait in the ground for the resurrection.. If you come up with the righteous, then you are fine. If you come up with the lost, then you will end in the lake of fire which purifies the earth so YAHOSHUA can make all things new. Scripture seems to not encourage suicide, and it would be well to be on the Almighty's side in the final judgement.

Yes, death is the end of each person's suffering in this life. There is no such place as hell (no soul and no spirit) -- but there is still the Lake of Fire to come (see reference material). Thus, for the Righteous, the death of this life is the end of their suffering forever. For the Unrighteous, however, there is still the suffering they must experience when they return to life for a short while at the Judgment -- and, then, the Lake of Fire. However, even they will not suffer forever (see reference material).

God bless.

This is false. Death only ends the suffering of the dead. Not the living. There are people who die at "peace" with the lives they have lived. Therefore they would have died without suffering with no need to end it.

Human suffering is the response to a misunderstood lesson of life. Life is a learning ground for all spirituality and when we miss the mark (sin) we suffer the consequences. Death is merely the next step into a doorway to more learning, without the body to hold the spirit back from its lessons in spirituality. God is still the ultimate authority in spirit.

True. Yes. No. Because people are irrational. Of course death is the end of suffering - no brain or nervous system, no consciousness, pain or any experiences whatsoever.

The Bible says that man is appointed to die once, then there is judgment. Where you spend eternity will depend on what you chose to do with Jesus Christ.
Heaven with God, or Hell without God.

Not completely. Some people will go to hell after they die, but those who are going to heaven will welcome the day that God takes them home.

People then ask: "Then why don't Christians just commit suicide and get to heaven?" I think that God doesn't want us to do this, because he wants Christians to stay on earth and spread the Gospel. Also, suicide is the ultimate act of self pity, and God does not approve of that. I believe that Christians who get to heaven early off of suicide will have fewer rewards in heaven.
