The best way to fight this urge is to hand it over to Jesus. Regardless of our burdens, Jesus will carry us through them. "Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (Matthew 11:28-30)
When faced with the temptations, say, "Get behind me, Satan." Pray to God for the strength. There isn't a single person that hasn't gone through some sort of temptation, and many still haven't overcome them. Paul even had temptations that he struggled with. "I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate to do." (Romans 7:15) "For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do - this I keep on doing." (Romans 7:19)
I urge you to get a couple of close friends to act as accountability partners, similar to what AA has, and anytime you have an urge, talk with them. Seek out Godly people to help you. I will pray for deliverance for you from this difficult thing.

With God all things are possible. dont give up. We all have some kind of urge to do things we know we shouldnt do. It is usually a sin that these urges insist on carrying us into. They can be overcome, indeed, Christ has already overcome, take one moment at a time and let the Holy Spirit work in you to change your disires. In fact, if you are really serious about stopping this urge, pray and ask God to help you with this right now. Then live minute to minute, always repent. This does not give you license to sin, tho. You fight this, you will win. Jesus is always with you and He knows everything you do.

My dear, You are on the right track. It sounds as If you Have stopped it, For one thing, even tho You still want to do it. You must put it under Jesus Blood and be an over-comer....You sound as if you Know the Lord, so I certainly urge you to ASK for his Help. We can never become an over-comer In our Own strength. It takes God's Help. And He never tires Of you calling on Him...He is always there with you waiting for you to turn to Him. He never gets Tired Of forgiving us either when we slip and fall. He just wants to see Us Lean on Him for Help. He will Give us the Victory we seek in Jesus' Name. What should You Do?" GO TO THE LORD."!

I kind of hope that this is a joke, based on the pig latin. But in the event it isn't...
Do what you want to do! Where in the Bible does it say that's a sin?? If you're not hurting anyone else, and it makes you feel comfortable, sexy, or happy, then go for it!
Sure, there are people who will tell you to pray about it, and that it is evil or wrong, but I'd argue that it's one of the most harmless 'sins' I've ever heard of. Surely God would rather you be happy the way he made you, as opposed to pushing your real self under the surface to meet some social 'ideal'.

Is this particular urge worth more than your salvation?
"To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me." -Acts 26:18
Satan's power is rooted in man's lust, greed, willful ignorance, covetousness, and rebellion.
Memorize James 1:14,15 and 1 Corinthians 10:13. Follow Jesus’ example (Matthew 4:3–11) and quote the Word of God when you are tempted (see Ephesians 6:12–20).
Read your Bible daily, without fail. As you submit to God, the devil will flee (James ).
God Bless.

You need to be accountable to a close friend. Tell that person in strict confidence of your issue and have that person ask you about it every day. Yes, by all means ask God for His help. But an accountability partner will work as well. Make sure it is someone you trust and is a solid Christian.

Brother you need someone who is of a Spiritual mind to talk with. This will be very difficult, but its not as bad as what satan would make it out to be.And it won't shook the person that you are telling it to either.
I would also encourage you to praise the Lord every time you get this urge.Lift your hands and shout Hallelujah, Praise the Lord!Satan hates that, make that liar aware of your reaction when he tempts you with this.Above all don't try to resist the devil without first submitting to God.
James 4:7 (Submit yourselves therefore to God). Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

I prayed before answering this question to know how to answer. Sin is sin....it does not matter what the sin is. All sin .....any sin.....seperates us from God. He will forgive ANY SIN if you truly repent, confess and ask Him for forgiveness. He knows our weaknesses. He knows that we will fall many times. Here is a promise He has given you to help with this.....
"My grace is sufficient for thee for my strength is made perfect in weakness." 2 Corinthians 12:9
You can claim that promise and pray it back to God. God cannot lie......Titus 1:2. Your part is just to make the CHOICE not to do that sin. God's part is to give you the strength. You may have to pray to be willing to make that choice. I have had to do that with my weaknesses. I will pray for you to turn to God EACH TIME with this. Don't give up on Him....He will NOT give up on you! Take care my friend. Time is short.

Paul had urges. He did what he didn't want to, and didn't do what he was supposed to. This is being human. Repent of your sin, and ask God to deliver you from it. I will pray that you are delivered.
