Being mature doesn't mean that you have to be 'old'.

That's an unfair generalisation.
It's to do with growing up and gaining responsibilities.
I'm sure some old people never grow up, but most of us have to.
We can't live off our parents for ever, and with responsibility comes a need to be more mature so that you can actually survive in the real world.
Nobody is going to employ an immature idiot.
Adults still have fun, just in different ways, because they don't have the same options as you.

You're a kid. It's okay for you to be immature, there's no point in wasting the years that you can be. As long as you know when you have to calm down and do you exams or whatever so you can have a good life, just go ahead with being a kid. Have fun. Have parties. Go boozing. Cos you'll miss it when you're older.

Gotta admit, most people in my age bracket (40-50) seemto act, well, old. They overaccentuate the word mature. Well, I'm not even close to that, nor will I ever be....I work, pay my bills, know how to conduct myself in an adult manner, but the other side of loves to jump on the bed! I love being my age. My kids are grown and out of the house. I take the grandkids once every other weekend cuz I want to. It's an excuse to color, visit the zoo, just act silly. We now have the extra cash to go where we wanna, when we wanna, and love it! It's an awesome time of life, for me, at least! And when you're my age, you don't get as embarassed as easy, so it leaves alot of leeway to just be a little crazy and daring! You just wait! You'll see!

You can't only define "fun" in one way. What you consider fun won't be the same as what you consider fun when you're 20. Or 30. Or 40, 50, and so on. The older people you're talking about are probably doing the things they consider fun right now.

As a teacher who has recently engaged in a water fight, pyjama day and countless other tomfoolery, what? Just because some have thier heads shoved up thier backsides does not mean all older people are like that. Sometimes ppl just want you to conform. DON'T LET THEM DRAG YOU DOWN! As long as you don't hurt anyone have as much fun as you can stay safe and have a good holidays and if they say anything tell them MS T says lighten up fools!

Older people have fun, they just consider different things to be fun. You'll grow out of a lot of stuff you like to do now.. you'll see. Before long you'll prefer a night at home over a night on the town.

Oh child, what a lot you have to learn. We have loads of fun both in public and private.......if you know what I mean.......
maturity is a state of mind. old age is a state of the body.
Would love to stop and chat but am going ice skating tonight before having a meal and a few drinks with some other mature but fun loving people.

Theres a joke about this. A punk with colourful hair is sitting on a park bench when an old man walks past and stares at him. The punk says "Whats up, Grandad, never done anything fun in your life?" The old man looks and replies, "Hmm, i screwed a peakcock once, i was just wondering if you were my son"

Think about it.

I do not think they mean for you to grow OLD, so much as grow UP ....... We are all terminal, even you young lady - as you WILL find out sooner then you think.

However, I am no longer young, I still have fun, (in many many ways - life it to short not to !) but not at mine or other peoples expense, think about it.

Happy Christmas !
