I have studied with JW's before. I figured I did not know really any thing about them, so I learned. I have also studied with Messianic Jews, Catholics, Lutherans, Creationists, Evolutions and talked with Atheists for the same reason. I would like to next study with a Muslim. I find studying different religions interesting and listening to other beliefs fascinating. Open minded I guess.

JW's take the Bible seriously...stay far far away from the JW's. They are nothing but bad news. Wherever you find anyone taking a holy book seriously...run....run fast and far, far away.

If you want to learn about the Bible, pick the filthy thing up and read it yourself, and when you come across the filth in there don't whitewash it, ask yourself if this book could possibly have been inspired by an all-loving god...the obvious answer is no.

To answer your question specifically, I haven't studied with a JW, but I have studied the JW's. The cult I was a part of (Southern Baptist) is not that far off from the JW's.

I have had them come to my door and they have always been very respectful, and did not try to keep me at the door for 12 hours talking about their beliefs and trying to push them on me. I am a Christian, but I do not bash them or hate them, nor do I hate any other religion or nonreligion. I do not judge anyone. God is the only one that can judge. I've never studied with one, but I did read their brochure. I don't necessarily believe what they believe, but does that mean that I should hate them? No.

Jesus is Jehovah God and this is the part that the JW's can't agree upon. They wrote their own Bible, The New World Translation to agree with their point of view.

Charles Russell, Joseph Rutherford and Nathan Knorr were all false prophets.

They deny the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Satan will not let Jesus be God because even Satan knows that when we accept Jesus then Satan has lost us. It is the name of Jesus (Yahweh and Yeshua) that makes the demons tremble.

Many people just don't understand their beliefs, and they do have many unorthodox beliefs in their religion. Also, there are those who resent the JW's going out of there way, knocking on doors to try to obtain new converts. I don't judge them, but I also do not agree with their belief system.

I think that it is sad that a Jehovah's Witness couple will allow their newborn baby to die because it needs a blood transfusion. This happened where I live, and I was appalled.

I would consider someone leaving that religion cause for happiness. I wonder why they leave too. I suspect that it's for the same reason that people leave other religions - they wake up, look around, and say, "I can't do this anymore."

I have spoken with several, and I have also read a substantial amount of their literature. Having done so I can say that I want nothing to do with any of it. I'm not trying to convince anyone, that's just my take on it.
