1Tim 2:5 It absolutely and totally leaves it out. The idea is contradictory to scripture, and proves that Catholicism is a cult.

Jesus is the only Mediator.

See 1 Timothy 2:5-6, John 14:6, Hebrews 4:14-16, Acts 4:10-12, Hebrews 12:24, 1 John 2:1-2.

Praying to Mary is both futile and idolatrous. She is not God, only the woman God used to bring Christ into the world.

For there is One God and One Mediator between God and Men, the Man Christ Jesus, who Gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time..1 Timothy 2 5&6.. In Hebrews 12&24 God tells us that Jesus is the Mediator of the new covenant of to the Blood ofSprinkling. that speaks better things than that of Abel. God said to come to Him in prayer and ask any thing of Him in Jesus Name and believing so He will grant us the desire of our heart. but we have to believe in God's only Son. Who paid the prize for our sins, and only Catholic s pray to Mary, God said to come to Him and only Him, God said do not worship any graven- image nor idol, because heis a jealous God( the 2 commandments and the 1 commandments, do not have any other God before Me). we all know that, Mary is Jesus . earthly mother. and that the Bible speaks very highly of Her, In the Great ., salutation , god gave Her great Honor among all women, but we should go directly to the Father in prayers for all of our needs in Jesus name, the only Mediator bewteen, God & Man. I hope this answer your question a little be bless in Jesus Name, Amem.

The desire for a female deity figure goes back deep into human history. When the Roman Catholic church suppressed Isis worship, Mary was a convenient way to fill the void.

There is no mediator (middle man) to God/Goddess/Chi/Force/The All/Great Sprit. However, for those that are Catholic, talking to the guy's Mom won't hurt anything.

Are you trying to make a point that you have a better way than those that pray to Mary? Shame on you.

Religion teaches that Jesus is but religion also teaches that Jesus is God. So I guess you do not need a mediator.

I have two best friends named Mary, I think they are both at home. Why do you ask?

The easy answer is Jesus Christ. I can't tell you where this leaves Mary, except as the Blessed Virgin Mother of God. However, I do not believe it is appropriate to pray to her or the saints. This is left for God and Christ.
