Greetings Friend,
No, it is not wrong for you not to want to go to Church. To me (I do not go to a Church unless I feel like going occasionally with my wife), the church is an assembly place. Its purpose is for our building up. It is a place where I can gather with like minded people, who will encourage and inspire me. It's a community. It lets me know that I am not alone. I find strength with my friends. It's like a miniretreat or vacation, or it should be. It is a place of sharing. A place where I can feel God's love. At least these are the things that I think the church is, or should be.
Having said the above, if you do not want to go, I do not think you should, nor should you be made to go because one cannot be made to love someone else. There very fact that the person is being made should prove that they do not love the other. I am not saying here that you do not love God because you do not want to go to church. I am saying that maybe you do not think that God demands you to go. God does not demand anything by the way. It would be like me demanding my wife to love me. Would I really want that "love"? No, because that is not love. I do not want to force my wife to love me. I want it freely. So, if you do not want to go to church, I do not think that you should. What would be the point? Would it please God that you were made to go? No and to think so is ridiculous. God wants only gifts and gifts cannot be forced or they are not gifts. I hope I have helped.
sending love,

Your mom just want you to experience the goodness of god, but you must build your own relationship with him. The Bible says raise your children up and lead them in the way that they should go and they should never depart from it. Your mom is is trying to show u the way you should go. Its your choice to follow or not. Church is where God dwells in the mist of his children. Let me put it to you this way. (For example) If you meet a friend and you find out how much of a good friend that person is, you will start spending more time with that friend and you will start to visit your friend's house because u know that your friend is always at home so when you really want to get in touch or become closer to your friend you will start visiting his house. Yes you can start your relationship with god at home but as you become closer and start seeking him more you will get a desire to want go ever where god is. It is a promise that god is always in Church which is gods house. You be bless.

What benefits do I get out of going to church?
• I get to hear instruction from the Word of God from a man who explains it clearly and helps me to apply it to my life.
• I get an opportunity to hear God direct my life.
• I hear a promise that gives me a fresh perspective and lifts my spirits.
• I have tasks to do there that can make an eternal impact on the lives of others.
• The worship experience is so much richer when the whole congregation praises God.
• I can give of my goods to help others in need.
• I can share a message that encourages someone else.
• I can bring my child in so he can learn from those who teach in a way that children can understand.
• I can be convicted by the sermon or another brother, and change direction in life.
• I can learn from other imperfect people who struggle with their faith.
• I gain a good conscience from doing what God said to do.

She may want you to believe in God and feels that church will guide you. You can have a spiritual relationship without going to "church".

Not at all. It's more important to have your own idea of what your faith is than someone elses idea that is drilled into you.

It isn't. God is imaginary and it's a waste of time.
