Depends on what type of life you want to live for 4 years or college:

Academy: very intense 4 years with the first year being the first. It is 24/7 military environment and you will be expected to perfrom all the time. There are no "breaks" to the military environment but there will be times where you can hang oot with your classmates and just chill. Not much of a night life because you are either studying or at meetings...then sleeping. Acamedies are very very tough but if you want the miltary envrionment right away then it will fit you. When you are comissioned and go out into the real world you will think civilan life is very different.

ROTC: Go to a regular college of your choice while also going into the ROTC program they have at that school or a closeby school. You will live a normal college student life in terms of classes, eating, slepping, and social life. You will have about 5-10 hours a week of ROTC stuff like classes, physcial training, leadership trianing that you will attend weekly. That will be the only military environment you will be apart of because outside those times you are a civilian doing civilian things. If you like to go out with friends on the weekends or like to do whatever you want during the week, do ROTC.

OTS: 3 month "bootcamp" for people already having completed college and have a bachelor's degree. You go into this preogram a civilian and come out a comissioned officer. 24/7 of all military stuff like drilling, physical fitness, leadership trianing, etc. Hardest program to get into because a lot of the people are prior-enlisted that for choose for the program or you had an outstanding college record.

Really depends on how you want to spend your college years because at the end of it, you will come out the same, a comissioned officer.

That all depends on if you already have college or not. With the Army if you have no college you can enlist and the after two years of being in you can submit yor packet for the Green to Gold Program. Going from enlisted to officer. When you get to your unit start taking college classes or CLEP tests and work your way towards your associates degree to help show the selection board for green to gold that you are dedicated to doing this. You can apply for this program after being in the Army for 2 years. Enough time to get your associates degree. Then when you get picked up the Army will put you back into a college to get your Bachelors Degree. After that you will owe the Army a few years of commitment. If you are in your senior year of college you can enlist as an officer provided you will receive your BS/BA upon graduation.

What Branch, How close are you to having your 4 Year degree, are you a Citizen, can you get a Clearance and how old are you?

ETA:

2 options: ROTC or one of the Academies. as a sophomore in HS you are almost too late to start the process to get into one of the Company School(Annapolis, West Point, Colorado or Cape May).

Pick a Branch and do some research.
