I have a cat and two dogs-all small and go in a litter box that she won't have to clean or anything. They just need company, basically. I am not sure of what to pay her!

I would give her a nice present. It might be a bit strange to pay a friend. A gift would be better I think.

We paid $20 a day, but she was cleaning the box and giving insulin to two of the cats twice a day.

It depends on what your area is paying, but for just looking in on them, maybe $10 a day?

Yeah, I would say go out and find something that just screams to you that it should belong to your friend and give her that. I know if I was house sitting for a friend I wouldn't ask for money, but people always accept gifts.
