"If Mankind Had The Ability To Choose, Would It Be A Sin To Do So?

This question is directed at religious parties but all answers are welcome here.

Matthew: I agree for the most part, but it wouldn't be possible for you to speak of that which doesn't exist even in the smallest form of an idea. Therefore creation has and shall remain until all living beings shall not speak it life.

Mankind does indeed have the ability to choose, and all choices relate to the inherent nature of good and bad, as perceived differently by different cultures. In my view, only cultural protocols separate all human beings. What is considered bad in one society may not be so in another. However, one thing that links most people is a belief in a higher power. History clearly shows that every indigenous group of people have found reasons to have such a faith.

Sin means to go away from God. We are given the ability to go away from God, commiting the act that takes us away from God's structure is a sin, thus "to do so" is a sin.

In a way it's like giving someone the most direct route from point "A" to point "B". God says go straight, although it may seem longer, it is the Right Way, BUT...if you don't believe me, feel free to find out for yourself. And we do, and it takes long to get to where we are going. Does God Love us any less? No, it's just that we are'nt as close to Him at all times as we have the abliity to be if we were to drop our pride and just Listen to him.

It's just like being an adult and looking back on what your parents told you when you were a kid. They were right, but at the time, we as kids, thought "No man, you don't know what your talking about, I'll do it my way"

I know it's a vague and lamens explination, but hopefully you can understand what I'm trying to get it.

You DO have the ability (and responsibility) to choose.

When you choose to sin, that is a sin. When you choose to live a righteous life, that is NOT a sin.

But understand one thing - once we become guilty by choosing to sin, we can not suddenly become righteous by doing something good. A guilty person remains guilty until the penalty has been paid.

Look at it like this. If you drive through a signal light while it is red, you become guilty of running a red light. By stopping at the next red light, that does not remove your guilt, because each signal light must be obeyed at for its own merits, and can not be used to retroactively undo a previous failure to obey.

Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, having never actually known sin, Himself.

You can either accept HIS payment, or you can pay for your own sins yourself.

However, once Jesus got to hell, because He truly WAS righteous and had never sinned, and because He was God before He came to earth, He was able to bust out of hell, thus securing freedom to ALL who come to Him in true repentance and faith.

You, on the other hand, do NOT have those credentials, so once you get into hell, there is no exit for you.

In my humble opinion, I STRONGLY recommend you accept Jesus' payment for your sins by turning to Him in true repentance and faith in His redemptive work on the cross.

People who can see the future only see the astral picture of the direction that all choices and circumstances are heading.
This is not a mapped destiny, just the road ahead. People do have choices, and there is no sin. Only consequence. Oh, there is also no Lucifer. Sorry.

It is a sin to chose not to believe that God ,Who so Loved the World and gave His only begotten Son, and that Jesus is the Way , the Truth and the Light. Anyone that believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.

You have to think about what you are actually saying. In essence you are asking, "is it a sin to sin?" God grants us the freedom to sin and make poor choices, but in so doing we are of course sinning.

Mankind does have the ability to choose but if its the wrong choice then yes its a sin..hahaha
