Do you sense a spritual "Civil War"?
Can you see that because of the Church's comprimise to the call of Jesus Christ that many have fallen victim to spiritual slavery? Do you see how man has introduced institutions and doctrines that keep many in bondage to the law?
Did Jesus come to set the captive free?(whom the son sets free is free indeed).
Slavery vs. Freedom
Law vs Relationship (Love)
As the American Civil War looked as if it was the end of a nation it actually resulted in a nation that unified and became the strongest nation on the Earth. This battle was not avoided but in many cases involved brother vs. brother.
Also, please remember Eph 6:11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is NOT AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
To those with ears to hear?

Well, dear friend, The present day church has just become a religious institution bearing no resemblance either spiritually or in purpose to the original Church of Jesus Christ which was inaugurated on the day of Pentecost by the power of the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and signs and wonders and miracles followed those disciples! Acts chapter 2. Creeds dogma tradition, and the psychology of men have reduced the organised mainstream churches into a meaningless confusion and an emptiness void of the original Gospel with spiritually powerless disciples! The rest of the churches have done little better by embracing the socialy correct love love Gospel and are now in bondage to the Ecumenical council who dictates to them. They have
plenty of shout ,but no real power of the Life of God , for they have left off seeking the true Councillor who is spoken of in Isaiah 9:6 .Because the power lies in the Word of God alone, and every promise of God is controlled by HisDivine laws and outside of that there is no reality or real peace! Remember thatJesus fulfilled the righteousness of the law, He not only fulfilled it but also magnified it! Jesus also said that, "Not one jot nor tittle( detail) of the law should pass away until all be fulfilled, "and He did at Calvary! We therefore only need to trust upon the merits of what He already did for us as sinners to be accepted by God, read Hebrews chapter 9:11-15! Paul the apostle was an observant Jew previously under the law and states this in Hebrews chapter 10:5-20! Then in Colossians chapter 2:8-11, tells us that we are complete in Him ,for the Godhead bodily dwelt in Him. A Christian therefore fulfills the law because he lives his life according to the higher spiritual law of Christ and will in no way defile His (Jesus) name nor their own testimony in Christ! Abraham Lincoln was a Bible believing Christian who though agonised by war, as a final last resort sought to destroy the exploitation of slavery by the Roman Catholic dominance in the south that condoned the acceptance of the slavery of the black race to which Lincoln had nothing but disgust and revulsion of! Today all it takes is for good men to do NOTHING! Remember that, Abraham took his servants whom he trained and went after the army that took Lot and his wife and many other innocent people captive and brought them all back goods and all! Genesis chapter 14. How about that? finally,The law had us all in bondage but through Christ the royal seed of Abraham and to all those that choose to accept Him, He brings us back to what we should be through His Word then we are truly set free! Rev. Joseph.

Yes I agree that a spiritual civil war has been going on for a long time now. The churches and religious institutions will fail, everyone will think "Jesus failed" and then the true power of God will arise from common everyday people and once again, before Jesus returns we will see signs and wonders accomplished in his name.

Yes. Law vs Love and relationship has been at war from the beginning. I have made it clear how I feel about legalism in some of my previous posts. But I see more than just that lately.
We've started breaking apart over trivial things. Even among Evangelical Christians, there is this battle over music of all things. People literally will not worship together if the music isn't the style they prefer. Congregations advertise on their signs "We worship with a traditional Service" or "We have contemporary services" There are congregations that are losing membership and fighting among themselves over HOW to worship. Sadly, as a classical music singer, I have found even my own family members refusing to worship with me because we sing classical music. (very worshipful to me but they say that it doesn't praise God the way that He ought to be worshiped.) I hardly have words to express how we fight like children over such trivial things. (May I make it clear that I KNOW I am as guilty as anyone else in this matter too)

Yes, that's true. We are in a spiritual Civil War. Our sciety itself is at stake.
First we looked to anyone else but God for our answers. Then we believed that there were sources of absolute truth outside the Bible.
The rest is a downward spiral, unless we embrace the one Creator of the universe and His word.

Yes, I agree with you...in the institution of religion there is a battle going on for the freedom we were given through Christ. The ending I hope will be a stronger body in Christ.
