My neighborhood would be a good example.During the 70's and 80's it was a predominately Italian neighborhood.During the early 90's to the present, the influx of illegal immigrants from Central America have made most of the Italians pick up and move out of Providence all together.

It could mean several things. In the most common case is the illegals avail themselves of government services such as health care, schooling and other services which the taxpayers have to pay for so that it may result in tax increases to meet the extra burden.
And against popular belief many do take jobs Americans want especially in construction. Remember the raid at the midwest meat plant? Over 400 illegals were taken into custody and 4 days later over 3000 Americans applied for those 400 plus jobs.
It can also mean to a lesser extent culturally. Many Americans are offended when illegals take to the streets to protest the US waving Mexican flags. If Mexico was so great why are they here?

One way in my area is the school system. We run a 6 week summer school for migrant workers children. They do not have to show proof of legal status. They do not pay into the tax base for the schools. We pay the salary of teachers to teach them (extra for bilingual), provide the books and materials, and the buildings. Then we are told that programs for our children are being cut because there is no money left in the budget. Why should our children suffer a lesser education?

It means more poop is flushed down the toilet then the sewer systems can handle.

It means more mouths to feed then then our soup kitchens can feed.

It means more criminals then our courts and jails can handle.

It means no jobs to support illegals who have moved into an area.

It means no housing for illegals.

It means no schools for illegals because we enable illegal immigration by encouraging them with education for their children.

It means their is no room at the inn and they have to stay in the stable with the animals or go back home.

It means people who immigrated here legitimately want to know why we are catering to illegal aliens.

It means illegals are rude and have no respect for this sovereign nation.

It means 'We' who are here legally don't want to be burdened with having to deal with people who are here illegally.

Merry Christmas.

They mean the schools and hospitals are going broke, there's 20 people per house and the yard is filled with trash, Americans must watch every scrap of paper we throw out to keep our identities, many people are driving that do not know how, there are hundreds of thousands of child molesters in our midst, the crimes committed are henious, your illegal neighbor is probably a drug dealer, murderer or worse.....enough impact for you?

Here is what they mean.....home rent has gone up [ they pack 30 people into a 2 bedroom home & split the cost] .... home owners taxes have gone up [ to pay for bigger schools to accommodate them] ....fewer jobs in the area for LEGAL citizens...higher crime rates [ more taxes to pay for larger jails] .... pass more bonds to pay for larger water & sewer systems..that's just a few of the negative impacts the have on an area.
