I believe it means that in an enviroment of falsehoods, the true explainations or facts will manifest themselves sooner or later.
Although I think a truth may remain undetermined-to us, perhaps the saying "God knows..." is prefered over "you can't keep the truth hidden", because it's not absolute.

Freddie Mercury is quoted saying, “Talent will out, my dears” after recording Bohemian Rhapsody.
When Freddie sat at the piano and first played ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ to the band, producer Roy Baker said, “Freddie set out three impressive verses then stopped and said, ‘Now dear, this is where the opera section comes in.” This was before pre-digital days. The 180-voice ‘chorus’ in Bohemian Rhapsody (all Mercury/May/Taylor vocals) was recorded over seven straight 12-hour days.
“Talent will out, my dears” was Freddie's comment at the end.

I think it means this....The truth always comes out in the end...and if you are truly talented it will show. Example with the talent.....you may have famous parents and their name may get you an audition, but talent will keep you there.
