hisgloryisgreat: Why care? It's well known that masturbation releases tension and elicits endorphin production in the brain, and in short, relieves stress. If more people masturbated freely, I would argue fewer people would be jerks (using a gentler term lest another be more likely to send my question to reporting hell)

Maybe they are so "hard" because they really need the release. Masturbation isn't wrong. Religion telling you want you should and shouldn't do with your naughty bits...lol Is wrong.

They have been taught, and have taught themselves to be "hard" on the issue as you say. If the idea wasn't presented and agreed upon then the idea would have no value. So the essential answer is that they agree with the concept of a previous teacher who stated such things. As for asking mankind to speak for God, as to explain if masturbation is wrong, you create a question which leads to a paradigm. Man can not speak for a being in which we have so little comprehension of, but the arrogant will always be up to that task. Look to yourself and you decide what you need to, to make yourself feel more comfortable and enjoy life more. I wouldn't give to much thought to the thoughts of others, because yours are the only ones your gonna have to deal with in your entire existence. May your spirit grow strong in the world.

The Lord gave us different parts of the body for particular functions! our sexual organs were given for reproduction,
not just to be defiled in LUST, which is SIN, by the way!He has instructed that our bodies are to be TEMPLES of the HOLY Spirit, who will not reside in the same place as SIN!
He also gave us certain orifices in our bodies for particular functions, that by chance other objects could fit into. But that does`nt mean that it`s ok that people should participate in activities that would cause the insertion of said objects into these body parts! Just because your head would fit up your rear does`nt mean you should leave it there! Each part of the body has a specific purpose and that is the ONE purpose that each part is to be used for!

That's like saying if you had a hand gun, it would be okay to shoot it willy nilly, without regard. Everything has a purpose, used properly it can lead to life, used improperly it can lead to death.

I masturbated tons when I was a Christian, and continue to do so now that I'm an Atheist; the only difference is that now I masturbate guilt-free.
