Any way to fix UMD's for the PSP?

Well, somehow a lot of my umd's have been broken sort of. the glass part on the front side of the disc is popped off so its only 'connected' to the top(the side you put down in the psp). my psp cant read the discs with this damamge and i need to know if this has happened to anyone and how they fixed it.

i took the demo discs and split apart the two sides without breaking the glass
you then replace the inside disc and put them together but dont attatch
you can use it like a nomral UMD and then reuse on all your broken ones
