Still don't know why any of us bother answering these type of questions.
But so that I won't be reported for not answering.
There will be as many as it takes to stabilize the elected Iraqi Government until they can protect their country themselves.

The least amount in any modern American War other than the Gulf War. Have you seen the fatality numbers from the Civil War, WW 2, WW 1, Korea, Viet Nam, etc. ?

Though I am sorry to lose any military presonel, the numbers are tiny compared to the threat they have contained and greatly weakened. Not funny how you would never think to compare those stats to our own daily murder rate here in the US. How about gang killings? Or traffic accidents? Or deaths from cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes, suicides?. Those are truely obcene figures.

Only God knows, that is if You believe in Him. The count is not the important thing. What is important is to finish the job and leave with dignity, not in disgrace like we did in Nam. Each of those lives lost were in defense of this country and should not be devalued because of administration mistakes. The families of those lost also sacrificed part of their life and we owe them our respect.

How many will it take to finish the job?
It takes a special kind of depraved indifference to only count the costs with no regard for the value of what's being purchased.

your reasoning would have had us surrender to japan after about two weeks of fighting in ww2.
as a world war two general (or what ever you are pretending to be now) you should be aware of this.

It depends on how much explosives the insurgents have left. They`ll keep on going as long as they something left to blow it up with.

Oh well, millions were killed in the Great Plague in Europe in the 1600s
(The above is a typical Republican answer to any question related to their bad decisions).
