hiThere have been many times when I have strongly felt God's presence. There are two times that come to mind that were very special.

First, a few years ago I was very upset with some things someone close to me had said. I went to bed sobbing and was utterly miserable. I started praying about the situation and an extreme peace came over me that words cannot explain. In fact, I fell asleep almost instantly after that peace came over me. It may sound simple to most people, but I knew that it was God there with me.

Another time was when my grandfather passed away. I had the option of going to see him while he was dying or avoiding the situation all together. I decided to go see him and he was in a truly awful state - moaning because he was in so much pain. That is something that I usually would not be able to handle. When I first saw him I started to cry and thought I may not be able to handle staying there, but I started to pray and suddenly I felt a strength about me. I ended up sitting with him the last few hours of his life. I consider it a blessing that I was able to do that.

After his death I kept having awful dreams about the situation and I prayed to God to send angels to watch over me while I was sleeping so I would no longer have these spiritual attacks through my dreams. Sure enough, after my prayer I never had another nightmare about the situation. :)

By having a relationship with Him and spending time in His word. The closer you become to God the more you can "feel" his presence in your life.
