You might be able to influence where you go if you try and specialize within the infantry, ie driver of say a APC or stalker, I think the stalker is only at one Division base right ? try and be something else and not just infantry, and take that from an old infantryman, try and learn some other skills i.e signals, driving, go for as much training in mortars or other support weapons found in a support (heavy weapons) company, obviously you will have to do at least 2 years as a regular infantryman before you are ready to move on, but do not be idle use the time wisely

definite you could take the dlab. No they won't deliver you to Monterrey for language practise. you will ought to serve a minimum of two a million/2 years as an 11 b , until eventually you could now pass prepare as a linguist. Use it slow ?? Do you somewhat think of your a real soldier, merely from ending up OSUT ? you have not even began getting to understand your activity yet. that may not meant to be a diss, that's merely the info.

Pick a card...any card! Some are going straight to the Middle East. Some are going to Fort. Bragg, Benning, Hood, Knox, Campel, Drum, Carson, or Lewis. Some with noodle spines are going A.W.O.L!

Wow, have you talked to an Army Recruiter yet? You will not know where you are going until about 2-3 weeks before you graduate your Basic & AIT for any job for that matter. You can go anywhere as an Infantrymen.

IIRC Ft.Hood Texas, Ft.Benning Georgia. and Ft.Riley Kansas are the three big ones. I was in 20 some years ago you could get your first duty station guaranteed, but I don't know about now.

As an 11B you could end up at any base the Army has, with very few exceptions.

That's a very, very broad question. You can go anywhere there is a tactical unit. You'll likely go to division, int Fort Hood or Fort Lewis, or some place like that.
