It's already been in for two days. Can it stay in two more?

Most recipes call for 24 hours. I would remove it from the brine and rinse it and wrap it tightly and leave it in the refrigerator for the remainder of time before you cook it (rather than leaving it in the brine).

The link provided by the above poster tells you how to brine but does not tell you you can brine indefinitely. I honestly have not brined for as long as you are planning but as an experienced cook, I would hesitate to keep it in any longer unless you can find compelling evidence that it won't be a problem.

No. A standard 12-15 pound bird should only brine for roughly 12 hours. Larger birds shouldn't take much more than an additional hour or two. Overbrining will lead to meat that is overly salty and has the quality of greasy, deli-style lunchmeat.

Take it out now.

As long as it is refrigerated, it will be fine.
