Not straight away. They have to do several laps of the planet before they reach escape velocity.

I have been finding new meaning on this in recent times. I used to think that if you were a believer, when you died you went to heaven or hell (depending on your status w/ God)
I now think that when you die - you're dead! The Bible says you "fall asleep". You are unconscious. You are cold meat. You are dead.
When Christ comes again to "make all things new" the dead will be called before His Judgment Seat and you will be sent where you asked to be sent from your life - here and now. This life is your time to make that choice for eternity.
Personally, I know where I'll be going.
Hope to see you there.

Some christians believe that there will be a day of ressurection when all the dead shall rise out of the earth and the sea shall give up the dead and they shall be judged on according what they had done.
Others believe that they have got to the 'waiting place' sheob (spelling?) where at sme point in the future they will be judged. So in that repsect no one is in hell or heaven.

First they have to stand in front of the big boss in his judgment bench , and go over the entire history of any commandments that you might have broken. Remember "name in vain " , the one about adultery , until "death" not divorce do us part .
If there's too much , or if he's in a bad mood - - - - down you go. So long , it's been good to know you .
Forget all the B.S. about forgiveness . It will all be in your record book .

Yes.
Meaning Jesus has been INVITED into their heart.
Their SPIRIT goes straight to Heaven.
Then when Jesus returns---we will all go to meet Him in the sky--out of our graves--in a glorified body--to where there is no more pain, no more tears, and we will see all our loved ones.
I love God, and I live for God, (I try my best)--and I can't wait to see my loved ones! My Dad is there, waiting on me.
