It sounds like microwave baked apples.
My Mom would take two apples, core them and in the middle ans the top add:
some brown sugar, nutmeg, fine chopped nuts and cinnamon. Top the mixture with butter and
place the apples in a deep casserole dish and cover with saran wrap. Microwave for 5-6 minutes or until tender. Let the apples sit for a couple minutes before serving. Serve with some vanilla ice cream and powdered sugar.

Microwave Baked Apples
INGREDIENTS
2 apples
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons butter
DIRECTIONS
1- Core the apples, leaving the bottom intact.
2- In a bowl, mix the brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Spoon the sugar mixture into the apples and set a teaspoon (or more to your taste) of butter on top of each apple. Place the apples in a deep casserole dish and cover.
3-Microwave for 3 1/2 to 4 minutes or until tender. Let the apples sit for a couple minutes before serving.

Microwave Baked Apple
* 1 large baking apple
* 1 teaspoon sugar
* 1 teaspoon butter
* 1 teaspoon raisins
* 2 teaspoons cinnamon candies, "red hots"
PREPARATION:
Carefully cut out core of apple; discard. Remove peel of apple about halfway down. Set apple in a small bowl or custard cup. Into the center of the apple, add sugar, butter, raisins, and cinnamon candies.Push mixture down into the center. Cover dish with wax paper. Microwave on HIGH for 2 to 3 minutes, until apple is tender. Let stand for 2 minutes.
Makes 1 serving.

Baked apples. Just mix brown sugar, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon and nuts in a little dish and mix well. Fill the apple cavity with this. Place apples in a microwave proof dish. Add a bit of water and cover with cling wrap. Puncture holes in the wrap to let steam escape. I don't know your microwave but mine would take about 8 min. on high power.
