I have been talking to this girl that I really like at school over the phone and via email. However the conversations have been "few and far between". I got her # last week and since then I have called her twice, but she has never called me, even though she said she would. In addition, her email correspondences have dropped from a few paragraphs to a few sentences. Does this mean she doesn't like me anymore (I know she liked me when I first asked for her number, the signs were unmistakable) or is she waiting for me to contact her again?

She may not know what to say, or she may be one of those rare girl who doesn't like talking on the phone or e mail. When I was younger, I hated to talk on the phone for more than a few minutes, and you couldn't get an e mail from me at all. However, I loved to talk in person. Call her again and see if she wants to get together in person if she says no then she doesn't like you in that way.

This all depends on the age/ maturity level of the female in question, Since you said 'school' I am assuming you mean high school age. Thinking waaay back to my own romantic experiences and comparing them to my son's more recent girl- troubles I think I have your answer...
She either is really busy with Christmas and family, and does not intend to ignore you, or she wants to be chased. Give her time and space, ask her when is the best time to call- when she will have time to chitchat, and ask if she would like to meet somewhere away from all the holiday hub bub for a soda. Her responce should tell you where you stand. Good luck.

In my personal opinion...she may want some face to face communication. It seems as though you guys are only communicating via e-mail and phone....Why dont you guys try to actually hang out more, she may be getting disinterested because she is more or less a "pen pale."Good luck and Merry Christmas, Cordelia

Sorry, but it sounds like she wants to move on and is trying to let you down easily. She doesn't want to hurt your feelings. Just my opinion, however.

just stop calling her and emailing her.if she emails you or calls you then you know that she likes you.It will probably drive her crazy that you havent called her or emailed her.just wait and see what happens
