I have a friend in the Phlippines, which was overrun by the Spanish/Catholics hundreds of years ago. Terrorists? She said to me that she thought that the Catholic Church(CC) was the biggest terrorist on the planet. I mentioned it to another friend and he has disowned me. I think that just the fact that the CC prohibits birth control is one of the single worst things that is being done to this planet. All the children in third world countries being born to lives of hopeless poverty. All the energy/pollution/greenhouse gases to feed all these extra people that the planet surely does not need. Why ??

The Catholic Church does not prohibit birth control.

The Catholic Church teaches that she believes that God prohibits artificial birth control.

Judeo-Christian tradition has taught for thousands of years:
1. Single people should be celibate.
2. Married people should be faithful to each other (adultery is wrong).
3. Married couples should welcome God's gift of children and, therefore, artificial birth control is against the will of God.

Natural forms of birth control are allowed.

So one human life is more valuable than another? Who decides that?

So if life cannot be perfect and everything in its place than it's wrong to bring children into the world? This is the kind of thinking that has got the world where its at today.

How many people were born into utter poverty and despair, but rose up and made history? How many became some of the greatest leaders the world has ever known?

The Church forbids contraception because human beings have no business deciding when life begins or ends. That's God's job.

If anything, the children in those poor countries need our help and charity. One of the greatest women in the world, Mother Theresa, spent all her life bathing and feeding the rejects, the sickly, the cast-out, and everything she ever owned on this earth could be fit inside of a small shoebox.

Maybe we could learn from her?

God bless, and Merry Christmas.

Hello,

Why blame the Catholic church in particular? It teaches like all the Christian churches that sex outside of marriage is sinful. If people cannot afford to feed their families or put basic shelter over their children's' heads they have no damn business bringing kids into the world and should either control themselves or go and toss off somewhere. Anyway, many cultures in Africa and Asia do not like using condoms since it is unmanly or like taking a hot shower in a rain coat.
The Catholic church has never spoken ex-cathedra on birth control and many follow their own conscience on that matter.

Before the coming of Christianity in many parts of the world, including the Philippians, there were murderers, wars, despots and atrocities. As an example why do you think Cortes was able to take Mexico City with only for hundred men who carried weapons that took a few minute per shot to load and malfunctioned in the rain? Because he had the help of 30,000 other Mexican Indians who detested their Aztec overlords because of high taxes, sacrifices etc.

It turns out the Catholics of the Philippines have by way of the years been mind washed to consider the bishops recognize greater than any one else within the nation. This is the identical guys that final week for the duration of the assembly overseen by means of the Papal consultant in Manila mentioned the causes there's a decline in priest within the Philippines is due to the fact that households aren't having adequate youngsters. The motive there are issues with immoral priest within the Philippines is due to the fact that it takes to lengthy for seminarians to conclude their schooling and they have got time to satisfy ladies and fall in love. They additionally mentioned that the U.S. and Europe had been robbing priest from the Philippines once they recognize and often rightfully consider that the humans have no idea that a bishop have got to liberate a clergyman to serve an additional bishop earlier than he can depart. I might have appreciated to have had the possibility to invite them if plenty of priest are leaving and the Philippines want extra priest then is it feasible bishops accepting bribes to enable priest to depart for the U.S. and Europe. Journalist within the Philippines not ever ask the popular, rich and church hierarchy the elaborate questions except the landlord of the media they constitute are in for the ones humans and wish to carry them down. No proprietor of media has the braveness to project the Church within the Philippines as a consequence they not ever ask the elaborate query and the Catholic Church has a loose move to mention and do as they please.
