I was attacked by two thugs in my place in Florida back in July and had to off them. She thinks that I'm cold-blooded because I protected myself...what was I supposed to do, die a noble death??? Sorry, but I'm not Martin Luther King or Mahatma Ghandi...

Your girlfriend should be proud of you, not ashamed. Fighting back in self defense takes a lot of bravery, and you were completely in the right.

I live in FL and know that we have the highest crime rate. Miami supersedes Detroit! And even if you live in a small town here you still have the boat people filtering in and doing illegal things all over Fl. There is no law against defending yourself. I have many friends who are officers. What are they supposed to do; reason with a criminal holding a gun? Criminals have certain mental states and are sh*tbags. Most people I know don't even classify them as human in their minds but don't say anything for fear of losing their jobs. Criminals come in all forms. You never know unless you're trained to read people who the guy next to you is. You had every right to defend your own life. How old was your girlfriend, a teenager? That's the most uninformed and immature statement I ever heard. (Leaving you because you defended your life and/or belongings.) Even my own child who's 13 will tell you she would shoot any intruder in a minute. Hell, my ex husband tried to sneak in the house one night coming home from a trip. I ended up almost fracturing his wrist. I attacked first and didn't stop until I recognized his voice. Your girlfriend made a mistake.

You protected yourself. You aren't in jail so it doesn't look like you killed anybody you fought back, right? Maybe she is afraid of how bad you hurt them. I don't understand her problem. Yep, she is the one with the problem! Not you.

i wouldnt have left you,i would have helped you get over your trauma ,sound like your gril isnt worth it,in love you dont care about enything but your lover,you should be glad your single again she sounds a bit col herself and not worth it.xxx
