If you can't get your PSP online wirelessly on it's own, then;
Select 'remote play' from the network part of the XMB on the PS3, and then do the same on your PSP. (I can't remember exactly what comes up when but i think it was fairly straightforward.)
Eventually, your PSP will connect with your PS3. The PS3 will say it is connected and you'll have the PS3s' XMB displayed on your PSP screen.
From here, you can do some cool things (as long as you've updated the firmware on both to the latest);
You should be able to select 'internet browser' and go online.
You can sign onto the PSN and go into the store if you want to.
You can watch any trailers/films or play music you have stored on your PS3 (it wont let you watch DVDs/blu-rays that are still on a disc, only from the hard drive)
If you put a PS1 game into your PS3, you'll be able to play it on your PSP. (It's not perfect, there's a little lag, but good enough to play Final fantasy VII on the loo.)

Press home on your PSP to finish, and you can either just end the connection or turn off the PS3.

yes and no. don't use usb, use the wireless function to connect your psp to your ps3, i did it once just to see what it was like, you just view you ps3's cross menu on your psp and cann only do certain things i never tried but i bet you could look on the internet, the setting is between the psn menu and the friends menu and its somewhere on there

just do this to get internet on ps3.First take your Ethernet cable and hook it up to your computer's modem,or hook it into an Ethernet port in the wall somewhere. To me it was just easier to get a wireless router,and you don't need to do anything with that just change the settings on your PS3 to wireless (with a router) or wired (with an EtheFPRIVATE "TYPE=PICT;ALT=waldo6877's.
