Yes, it is very annoying.

I use Firefox web browser, which has a script blocker. I tried to change the settings on yimg.com, and it got rid of the commercial. The bad part was all the thumbs up/down functions quit working properly. That was even more annoying. Now I just turn the speakers off until Yahoo hears the collective voice of the people.

There have been comments about it at:

We are inundated now with commercialism. Everything has to have a commercial aspect to it. Money once was the bottom line...now it is every line. I am a capitalist, but this has gone too far. Companies no longer hide their contempt for us, the consumer. Christmas begins now in stores around mid September, sometimes just after Halloween. They are sending us a message:

"Dear consumer: We do not care about you or your traditions. Your sense of time/propriety, and when the holidays should begin in our stores mean nothing whatsoever to us. We have only the utmost loathing for you as human beings...we just want your dollars. You can see this in the way we perform customer service, and in the way we have twisted everything around, so that you must bow to our 'Store Policies'. This is the way it will be until you all stand up and as one, voice your outrage...until then, have a nice day."

Yes very much so, as it cuts into me listening to the radio at the same time as being here.
I've dropped an e-mail to Gap customer services, suggesting they should come and see how well it's going down here,
... and that the person who passed it as amusing having listened to it once, should be forced to listen to it a few hundred times.

Oh no: I've just found this via Google news, for 20th Dec:

“Gaptidings is a clever way for Gap to empower consumers to reach out to loved ones around the holidays with personalized video messages,” says Conn Fishburn, Yahoo’s director of social media strategy. “It enables them to develop a deeper connection with their customers in a fun, engaging way.”

So now we have at least one name for the top of the next solstice bonfire.
Twice over. Once for the video ad, and once for the revolting "business-speak"

If you mean the one that turns itself on and plays while you are on this forum, yes.
I will never purchase anything for that store.
If I am given something from that store, or if my daughter is given somthing from that store we will return if for a full refund and spen the money with their competitors.
Gap "sucks"!

HATE GAP.
And Abercrombie and Fitch. And Hollister. They're ok as far as clothes though, but the models are always hideous and the ads really dumb and pointless...in fact they make me want to STOP shopping there...
