I've been on Lexapro for 5-6 years now (before I was on Zoloft), and neither med ever affected my weight. I've only been taking 5 mg of Lexapro (half a pill) for most of the time I've been on it, though.

Yes it does... for most people - had several friends on it and they ballooned... but felt better - so you have to take the good with the bad... just try to keep in mind if you take it start a good diet and excise routine and try to keep it at bay - it will also make you feel better if you are healthier

HI--as of any anti-depressant, there is always that risk. However, it all depends on the person. Just b/c I gained weight on it (hypothetically), doesn't mean that you will. Everything depends on how your liver processes it.

It can in some people, but generally it doesn't. Google it for side effects. It will tell you.
