Indeed the Church is mystically the Bride of Christ. The real mystical marriage will truly happen at the completion of the end of times as you can read in the Relevelation 21:9. She is also the New Jerusalem and she is really the mystical Body of Christ. For you see as God speaks in Genesis, the husband leaves his father and mother and joins himself to his wife and they become one body. And thus Jesus left His Father in Heaven when He came on earth, he left His Mother on earth when He let Himself be killed and His Bride, the Church was born on the Pentecost. When we receive the Holy Eucharist, we become a part of the mystical Body of Christ and thus each one of us becomes part of the Church and our souls are also the brides of Christ, as it is written in Isaiah 54:5.
God bless you always

Oh, heck. In Bolivia, there's a statue of "the Virgin" it is meant to easily BE the Virgin Mary, Jesus' mom. They gown it and that they bathe it and that they carry events for it. They march it around and consult from it. it fairly is their very own little idol. and not single out the Bolivians or something. an excellent form of pesthole backwater benighted particularly civilized places have those perplexed and albeit un-Christian practices that are turning out to be to be further on over the millennia. Like Easter. Like Christmas. Like St. Valentine's Day. So some church in Sardhana, Meerut, UP, India (save those enjoying cards and letters coming in, human beings) is termed after a "Mary"? Do tell? no longer likely it fairly is Mary Magdalene (she who the Dawinky code might have us have self belief replaced into Jesus' primary squeeze and mom of his youngsters) nonetheless. extra possibly it fairly is mom Mary, speaking phrases of expertise. enable it fairly is. Sorry.

It is often referred to that Jesus is the bridegroom of His Church.
"Marriage" can mean many things.
What is something that a good marriage has? - Love, carring, a giving of oneself to the other.
Jesus loves, cares for, and gives Himself completely to His Church. We are called to do the same.

Kind of.
Jesus calls Himself the bride-groom and the bride is US! We are the Church of Jesus Christ. The Church of Christ is not the church you go to. That is just a building.
You've heard it said that, as a believer, you are part of the body of Christ. This is, you are, the Church.
Welcome to the Wedding Feast.

The Bible uses analogies to describe God's relationship with humans whom He has saved. In one passage the church is described as "the body" of Christ who is it's head. In another passage Jesus is described as the firstborn among many brothers, like He is the eldest brother of all who are being saved. In another passage Jesus tells his disciples that He calls them friends. And in a couple of other passages the church is described as a virgin bride whom Jesus is coming back to receive unto Himself.

When Jesus returns He will receive the Church as His bride. We are to prepare to be part of this, making ourselves fit to join with Him.
