I cannot recognize the mosque, but it does resemble a mosque in Banda Aceh. Assuming that's the one, it survived the tidal wave because it's ground floor (not visible a the angle shown) is a system of open masonry arches. As a result, the flood waters struck a low resistance area and passed through without generation the force to topple the heavy structure. The surrounding buildings neither had the open area on the ground floor or the construction strength.

How do I scientifically explain photographs? Basically speaking, it's a light sensitive chemical reaction. What I can't explain is your primitive believe that the god of the world can only speak one language, and one that is not the most universal or that has the most native speakers. Sounds like an extremely limited god to to me.

Edit:
Ok, a better explanation: generalization is a hardwired feature in human brains as is pattern matching and symbol usage. What this means is that, we can take various naturally occuring designs and generalize them to some recognizable symbol - a good example of this are the constellations. People have also found vegetables and other foods that resemble famous people...

The point remains that a "global" god capable of creating the world should be able to communicate with all people in whatever tongue they speak. If not, then it is not much of an all powerful god, is it?

What phenomena? Why is this any different than the Virgin Mary showing up on a grilled cheese sandwich which was sold for 25,000$ on EBay.

I think it's clear what happened there - you pressed down on the keys on your keyboard in a certain order, and probably pointed and clicked with your mouse, selecting "Paste", and those characters appeared in the little window where you enter a question to have it posted on this site.

From there, chips inside of your computer read the codes representing the characters, and then transmitted those codes in packets through the internet to a server run by Yahoo, where they were store for access by the rest of us.

What? Soap in a river and a bunch of scribbles?

You religious people train yourselves to see your god in everything. Sorry, but you're really the only person who sees anything godly in those things.

That is stupid garbage. A combination of digital manipulation and interpreting natural phenomenon to suit your myth.

You are welcome.

Edit:
No, I also mentioned interpreting natural phenomenon to suit your myth, don't forget that part.

I followed your second link.
And if you think those pictures made your faith stronger, then please go ahead.

You don't need atheist's explanation for your faith , do you.

Unless you are feeling insecure.
