We don't have to and He wasn't born December 25th. They both are personal preferences. People choose to tell their children a myth about Santa. Christian people choose to think and expound upon the myth that the significance of Christmas was the birth of Jesus. Look at all the Nativity scenes, especially in front of churches.

We should tell children the truth that Santa is a myth..........many parts of the world Christians celebrate Christmas without this imaginary person usurping the very meaning of the day
Everyday we must proclaim the birth of Christ Jesus. It is just to be happy and merry we have designated one day in a year 25th of Dec ( not sacred this day ,may be it is to bring cheer on a very cold day), its for man's requirement ...

Even the christians admit that December 25th is not Jesus' birthday.

I'm 43 and I see Santa as the giving spirit that should still be alive in all of us....... Helping less fortunate. Too bad it's only done at this time of year.....

don't have to... but it's a nice thought... and Jesus was not born on December 25... it was more toward spring... December 25 is the celebration of his birth because that made it easier to convert the pagans to Christianity... it's easier to accept a new belief if you can still have some of your old holidays. Easter is the same way.

I have never said that there is a Santa Claus.
Where in the Bible does it say that we are forbidden to observe anything that is not explicitly stated in the Bible? The 4th of July isn't in the Bible either.
