What did your friend say? That would help determine if he had a reason for getting angry or not.
Honestly though, your friend doesn't know his friends. It really is insensitive & inapropriate to make remarks when they aren't there to defend themselves & she doesn't know them, & it was even worse that you laughed. I kind of have to say that I sort of see where he had a reason to get angry. After all, wouldn't you be upset if his friend made fun of you & he started laughing at that while you two were on the phone? I bet that you would be at least a little upset. You just need to apologize to him & try to talk it out with him. If he doesn't want to get back together... well, just count this as a lesson learned.

Well, if he is in Africa and you are in the U.K., there is not a whole lot you can do. If you lived close be each other, you could go and see him and explain what had happened, but if your whole relationship is long distance, I fear you need to find a new boyfriend. If he really loves you, he will get in contact with you.

he has misunderstood the conversation if he loves you he will realise this and he will be back in touch be patient he might be angry still. if he doesn't maybe you should move on he might have seen an opportunity to break up with you and your wasting your time, either way go out and enjoy Christmas and don't let this spoil it for you

sounds like he was looking for a reason to dump you and took what happened as an opportunity to do it. be glad and move on, and if he tries to reconcile he is only doing it because he got cold feet over the breakup, but be assured that he will eventually dump you. so don't put yourself through it and move on now

Try calling him back and explaining yourself. Although, I kind of agree with your parents, that is a very long-distance relationship and may not be a good idea. However, if you really love him then just apologize.

Leave him. There was more than this reason. If there wasn't more, then he has a problem communicating and it would be trouble in the future anyway. If you are still in school, don't become serious until college!

Get a new one. You are still at school so you are too young to settle down, play the field a bit.
