I have been thinking a lot lately about the tribulation to come. I was wanting to know your thoughts on Pre- and Post-trib. Which one are you? Why? I have always been a Pre-tribber. Thinking that if you follow God and he knows you are a child of His, why would be suffer you to go through the tribulation period. Then, I asked my husband about it, for about the 70th time =) He commented that it is really hard for someone to state their faith and justify it until the time comes when it is really put to the test. If you have a gun to your head or someone you deeply love and care for, threatening to be killed of you do not renounce your faith, would you...could you. I know that most of you out there could say yes now, but if or when it comes down to it, could you stand up for what you believe in? So, back to my original question. Are you pre-trib or post? Why? or why not?

Sometimes it really takes being humbled, and all that is around us being taken away, or the threat of being taken away, until we are left standing beside ourselves, when we can see what we need to see, there is too much worldly junk around us, so when we are humbled we can see Truth so much better, We never know what we have till we lose it, and then don't we beg or want for it so bad, If you were sitting in a room right now, and everything went black, and satan came in, would you or would you not start praying to God?
We don't think about these things until we are faced with circumstances that lead us to them, I believe God wants our true hearts, to shine, to be open, take away the junk and see our true selves, our true heart.

I learned a long time ago not to worry about the "possibilities" and "maybe" situations as they almost never occur. If you are saved, you will not be here to see the tribulation as we will be taken immediately before it starts. It will all be over for us before we realize it. Matthew Ch.24 tells us about the state of the world in the end times and it seems certain that we are in the very last days from the description given by the Lord Himself. The Lord will not allow His children to go through the destruction which will occur during the tribulation as this time is mainly a series of harsh judgments that He will bring on the earth in an attempt to have mankind turn back to Him. His nature is such that He will not destroy the righteous with the wicked. (see the story of Lot)
During the seven years of tribulation, all Christians will be judged, not to determine whether or not we are saved as we already know we are, but to determine our degree of rewards. I hope this is of some comfort to you. God Bless!

If they have a gun to my head, I cannot see them asking me to renounce my faith. Historically it was always the opposite. Without a lot of oppression and bloodshed it seems very likely Jesus would never have made center stage.

It is human vanity to want to believe that the world will not continue for thousands (or millions) of years after their death. Unfortunately, such a worldview does not lead people to strive to make the world a better place for future generations.

This is not something that is coming.

It is something that each of us is in every day of our lives.

Anyone who tells you that it is somewhere down the road is missing the point of life.

Love and blessings Don
