note pad is too primitive. You don't need anything special but if you want you CAN copy them into WORD. But you can copy photos on your screen just using Print Screen. Then go immediately into PAINT and paste it into the whatever. If you have Adobe Photoshop, you can change the image from a .BMP file to a .JPG file. Quality is the same but jpegs are much more compressed. Bitmaps (.bmp) are to jpegs what .wav files are to .mp3.

first up, note pad is for creating short messages to send in e-mails and instant messaging, it can be used for other things, but that is it's main use, and you can't put pictures on it, to copy and paste pictures, you must open word pad and create a new rich text document, that way, when you copy and paste, the picture appears.
have done this, for what feels like one hundred million times for my kid's homework and school projects over the years.

Notepad is one of the most basic of text processing programs. If you have works, paste it into that or if you have Windows XP you will have either Photo editor or Office Picture Manager, both imaging programs so paste into one of those without problem.

some sites have a copy protect on their pictures - that
does NOT allow us to copy them into our computer
as it is THEIR picture and THEY want the credit for it
