If there was no religion most people will commit suicide and I'm the first one

There would be no world...

God created the world so that Man could perceive and worship him. And the absence of religion would either call for another Prophet or the end of the World, unless the Lord through his infinite mercy and clemency graced mankind in living further.

What people fail to realize is that many people masquerade behind religion to advocate terrorism and pursue their personal goals. Does that have to be generalized? No, I don't think so.

Probably would be humanless. Religion has always been a part of human culture, if it can't be viewed by some as anything more.

But trying to imagine humanity without religion....interesting speculative question. I would say would be as bloody, pleasant, and any other extreme adjective you can think of. We just would have different forms of educations and hospitals set up. And we'd be fighting for things and finding yet a different scapegoat reason.

Probably be a lot less people and a lot more wars.

Simply look at history, before Christianity and other religions took hold the world was constantly at war. War was not a question of if, but when. The Moguls, Barbarians, Romans, Greeks, Celts, all fought wars of conquest.

The Spartans were born, breed, trained, and conditioned to do nothing but fight.

The twin towers would still be here. No Hitler's, Bush's, bin Laden's ...that's enough right there, but I'll go on.... A world in which no thinking mind is stopped dead in it's tracks by the non-explanation of "god did it." A world in which humanity becomes the number one priority and no one will be content to put up with the injustices of this world because they think all will be made right in a life to come. In short, a world in which people truly understand the significance of their life's.

Hi Maya.
At times I feel y do they do all those rituals etc. But then when i think that supposing the world starts thinking logically.. and we stop practising all rituals n all religion.. no places of religious worship nothing.. then what the world wud be.. definitely it won't be a gud world.
but then the thing is that everything that we do.. is it out of logic? no. So the thing is that logic ain't everything.
There is something that man believes to be god, coz of whose fear he keeps his deeds within limit

I'd hate to be in the back of an ambulance and have the driver search for "Atheist General Hospital" - and not have the choice of "Good Samaritan", "Queen of Angels", "St. Jude's", "St. Vincent's", "St. Luke's" or "St. Joseph's" (the six hospitals closest to me.)

Cures for most of the diseases would be found by now, not so many wars, not so much violence, not censored rock concerts, no suicidal terrorist attacks, no social segregation, more time, lives lived fully and with people setting real goals in their life time, should I go on?
