This is a sensitive subject for alot of folks. This is going to be long so bear with me.
"Once saved always saved" is a doctrine that is not consistant with the Bible. Further, the phrase is deceiving in that it has a bit of truth to it. Faith is a continuing action that supports Grace. Without faith, there is no salvation. By faith, a Christian adheres to the laws of Grace... yes... LAWS. Jesus came to fulfill (the Sacrifice) the Law by providing Grace.
"He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels." REV 3:5
Jesus said that he would "blot-out" his (the christian) name out of the Book of Life. In order to blot-out something it has to be written down first.
The problem with OSAS is that it teaches converts that regardless of their actions, their journey to Heaven is garaunteed. Well, that can't be possible being that the Bible says:
Ephesians 5:3-6
3 "But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;"
4 "Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks."
5 "For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God."
6 "Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience."
So how does one remain in Grace? This is a question that has an answer but many find it difficult to exercise this answer; thus, an alternate doctrine must be created to uphold the lack of faith (OSAS). This is how Christians maintain their relationship with God by His Grace:
Galatians 5:15-17
15 "But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another."
16 "This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh."
17 "For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would."
The importance of prayer, reading the Bible, and Christian fellowship build up the Spirit in the Christian, so the longer you do these things, the easier the "walk" becomes. As soon as these things are compromised, a Christian will fail and become a "soft target" for the devil. Now, if perchance we do fail the Bible says this:
1 John:1-3
1 "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:"
2 "And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world."
3 "And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments."
OSAS Christians usually are conformers to whatever environment they are in and usually profess a faith contrary to lifestyle. I know by experience... I use to fight for this doctrine until I started reading my Bible with tears.
God bless.
P.S.
There is soooooo much more, but I'll turn you off with endless reading.

The Bible supports "once saved always saved" For example; we are told in Ephesians that when we believe, we are "sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption" Jesus talked to Nicodemus in John Ch.3 and told him that "you must be born again" this occurs when a person believes in Jesus, the Holy Spirit enters into that person and thus the new birth happens. If we could ever lose our salvation then we are saved on the basis of grace plus works however no where does scripture support such an idea in fact, every where Scripture states over and over that we are saved wholly by grace. It seems that a number of Christians have difficulty grasping the basic principal of salvation which is namely; when Christ was on the cross, the father poured out upon Him (Christ) the sin of the whole world therefore, how many of our sins did Christ die for? All of them of course! Past, present and future. this is why Jesus states that whosoever believes in Him has passed from death into life.
We were not saved conditional to any thing or as long as we.....!!! Even saved people commit sins just as did the Bible saints.
Consider this; If we could lose our salvation, Christ would have to come back and die all over again and as such, He would be returning every 5 minutes. It is totally unscriptural to that our salvation can be lost once a person has been born again.

Can a Believer "Lose" His Salvation?
Or Stated More Accurately, Can He Forfeit It?
"Has God indeed said...Those on the rocky soil are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no firm root; they believe for a while, and in time of temptation fall away."? (Luke 8:13)
The scripture clearly teaches BOTH the sovereignty of God AND the free will of men. To deny this is irrational, and must be caused by something other than reason based on scriptural precepts.
The scriptural position is that a person who is saved can forfeit that salvation. The bible teaches those at highest risk of forfeiting their salvation are those who are newly saved, and those who continue on in known disobedience, after being born again.
The elect are those whom God chose, whom God foresaw would both trust in His Son AND who would endure or persevere in the faith given them until the end of their physical life, or the return of Jesus.
Those whose hearts are seeking the Lord with all that is in them, should have no concern about "losing" their salvation. Nor should they have any concern about forfeiting their salvation.
Salvation cannot be lost, but it can be forfeited - this is the nature of covenants in the bible. The bible no where guarantee's someone that salvation once received cannot be turned away from or forfeited by the individual that possesses it.
Receiving salvation involves man's will, and not works. Forfeiting salvation involves man's will, and not works. In the same way the Lord did not force His salvation on anyone, He neither forces anyone to remain in the covenant.

Non denominational Christian. I believe once saved always saved. However your fellowship with God is at question when you intentionally sin. I worship at a Christian Community Church. Salvation is a free gift, and has nothing to do with works.

I'm Baptist, but that's not important. Salvation is a gift from God. Once you are truly saved you cannot lose your salvation. Some people make false professions.
Even after Peter denied that he knew Christ, he did not lose his salvation. He did however repent and wept bitterly.
God sent angels to get Lot and his entire family out of Sodom and Gomorrah before He destroyed it.
etc....

GOD will proclaim, "This is a day when the truthful will be saved by their truthfulness."
On The Day Of Resurrection
[5:116] GOD will say, "O Jesus, son of Mary, did you say to the people, `Make me and my mother idols beside GOD?' " He will say, "Be You glorified. I could not utter what was not right. Had I said it, You already would have known it. You know my thoughts, and I do not know Your thoughts. You know all the secrets.
[5:117] "I told them only what You commanded me to say, that: `You shall worship GOD, my Lord and your Lord.' I was a witness among them for as long as I lived with them. When You terminated my life on earth, You became the Watcher over them. You witness all things.
[5:118] "If You punish them, they are Your constituents. If You forgive them, You are the Almighty, Most Wise."
[5:119] GOD will proclaim, "This is a day when the truthful will be saved by their truthfulness." They have deserved gardens with flowing streams. They abide therein forever. GOD is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. This is the greatest triumph.
[5:120] To GOD belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and everything in them, and He is Omnipotent.

O.S.A.S. was one of the first heresies. It is equivalent to:-
"Hymenaeus and Philetus; Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some" (2 Tim. 2:17-18)
God has given His Spirit to enable us to know and obey him, not as a licence to be as bad as you like then expect to enter into his glory . . .
Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, UNTO OBEDIENCE (1 Peter 1:2)
Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. (Romans 11:22)
