I would have said yes to this question but if I take a broader look at what impacts our challenges then I have to say no. If the challenge is to overcome one's love of chocolate chip cookies then of course they can. If a person has the right environment they really can overcome any tragedy or challenge if they choose to but then add war into that mix. If a mother wants to protect her children from a stray bullet, she really has no control over what others are inflicting on her or her family. The genocide in Darfur, all of those refugees and displaced persons, they have a challenge greater than they can overcome but I believe there is perseverance of the spirit that can change one's attitude to the situation in front of them. However, also take into account mental illness. I believe that they might approach the challenge with their own degree of success but others might look at them and see that they are doing poorly. There are so many factors. I believe we can shift our vision about a challenge but overcoming that challenge may not always be possible. Many blessings

Can a person over come any challenge no matter what?

If we are given enough time and have enough desire we can over come any challenge no matter what.

However that is also the problem.

For while we may have the desire our time (that includes how long we will live) is often very limited compared to the time needed to over come some challenges. Thus sometimes all we get to do is start “building” or continue where someone else that ran out of time had to stop until one day someone does complete the challenge.

Then there are the situations where we have the time but don’t have the desire to do anything about the challenge.

May Our Creator watch over you and your family.

No I don't believe that.

and I say that because I work in nursing I work with people whom are diagnosed with cancer and though the persons will is to fight the cancer and win the battle with cancer...not everyone does over come that challenge and sadly most die.

A grim look on behalf, I know...but is a challenge I wish everyone could beat no matter what.

I believe a person can be empowered to do those things that are pleasing to the Creator. (because He promised) If He asks you to do something, He has promised to give you the power to do it. (if you will accept that power)... Many challenges are not from Him, and so "NO". If you challenge me to hit a target from 300 yards, I will likely miss.

No, not any challenge, but a lot. Sometimes people need to learn when to give up gracefully, instead of beating their heads against an impossible wall.

No. Optimism is one thing. Understanding when something is beyond conquering is something else.

Here is one. Try overcoming death. And not with speculation or belief in an afterlife or reincarnation - keep your current body alive forever.

as long it is something that is physically possible, and they don't give up, i suppose so, but it depends on the challenge really.

I mean, flying without a plane etc is a challenge, but a person couldn't physically do it, so it wouldn't be possible.

Well the bad news is that in reality we cannot control anything except our own thoughts.

The good news is that we have absolute control over our thoughts.

With the grace of God, we can meet our lives challanges.

Yes, If you have The Lord, The Lord can move mountains, why couldn't The Lord help you overcome an obstacle, and if you go to God and ask, that is all you have to do, God wants to help us but we got to have faith.

You have to be realistic on this, though. I can never become an engineer with my talents, I think! I can become a better singer, maybe, and we can all become better persons, or better at things we are already good at.
