Please, be clear. You're always so confusing answering this question and there are so many conflicting conceptions over this idea. Is disbelief in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit a sin or not?
Does doing so send you to Hell?
Can you answer without quoting the Bible? I would appreciate that enormously. Nevertheless, you can report speech the Bible if you want to, for the Bible is filled with uncertainties, and the truth value of its interpretaions lies in the eye of the Beholder.
But no quotes please. Thanks.

I'm saying cause there seems to be a wave of New Christians that claim you don't have to believe to go to Heaven, just by being good, and leading a moral life of respect, good deeds, good will, etc... that would conduct you to Heaven, without any particular belief being required.

I am assuming you mean a disbelief in God? I would say that, yes, it's a sin for you are going against God's 1st Commandment. "You shall have no other gods before me." Sorry to quote there. If you cannot put God first in your life then you will find any god to fill that void.
Many people try and fill that emptiness with themselves. They put themselves up as their own god and say that they will not, "steal, murder, rape, covet, .......etc", and think that they are being this really good person. They forget WHERE the understanding came from in the first place that they should be this way. These are not just civil laws that we obey. They are moral laws that have been "designed" into us by God's own hand. This is why when you ask a 2 year old (who does not have a clue as to law) if they took that cookie (or whatever), they hang their head in shame for they did this "sin" and they know it. This is God in our lives. You cannot deny it. It's in ALL people. Christian, believing, pagan, atheist, agnostic........... doesn't mater. We are all the same children of God. Travel the world and you will see!
