4 year degree if coming in from the civilian side. 2 year degree working for your 4 year degree if enlisted.

In general you need four years to be an officer, Infantry or otherwise with one exception...

For OCS, having a 4 year degree is better, but you can do it on less then four years. The catch is that you have to complete the 4 year degree prior to making captain. However, your chances are less to get selected for OCS if you do not have a 4 year degree, but it has been done. In the end its better to have the 4 year degree done first because it can be hard to get classes in while you are a lieutenant.

This is true to the "T." You can also go enlisted and get 60 hours of college on active duty. Once you get your 60 CH, you can submit your OCS packet while you are in.

You must have a Bachelors degree and graduate from ROTC, a Military Academy (West Point, The Citadel), or Officer Canadate School. Then you will be commisioned as a 2nd. Lieutenant.

To be any kind of military officer you will need to have a BA or BS degree in a needed degree area. So for your question a minimum of 4 years of college with a degree.
