We in Scotland Want freedom from England's 300 years of abuse. we want to govern our self and all matters Scottish. we will also need the economic power of the EU and the rest of the free world for our financial growth and prosperous future.
is it possible to have our autonomy and still be part of the big picture or do you think we are better off going it alone.

it not a minority view at all . don't believe all that the ENGLISH government puts out or what those who support the English here in Scotland say. if that was true as you say then why are they so afraid of the referendum Scots want. it would settle the issue for good

Nothing comes for free, especially money. If you want to retain your sovereignty then don't spend other peoples money. The bible says 'The borrower is servant to the lender.'
The whole point of the EU is lost if any country retains sovereignty. Ok, an individual country may get it's way on a very few issues but then it's just a matter of time before the old guard die out & the people change their way of thinking to suit the new order.
Remember, money has bought out an awful lot of people & their principles. It is the single most successful form of bribery.
You have to decide whether or not you think the EU is a good thing & serves the people well. Is it worth paying the price?
A lot of people do.
It's a matter of asking the right question.

Your view, re. Scottish Independence, is a minority one in Scotland. The EU wants to completely take over Europe and disband all the former independent Nation States. So, you may get rid of England, but you would also loose control of Scotland.

I am an American. That being said, I cannot help but believe that if you are sick of Englend's control, why on earth would you set yourselves up to be the recipients of the control of all of Europe?
The other countries of Europe have bigger populations than you do, so I would believe that they would have a larger representation than you would, and therefore more control.
They also have much different ways of life than you do, and different values. I think that you can cooperate with them, you can form treaties with them, but you have to maintain the right to make your own decisions with regard to the direction your country is going to go.
I think that the world's big bankers would like to have some kind of one-world federation, because it would enable them to manipulate money with more allacrity, and reward their friends and punish their enemies, but do we want to give that much power to anyone?
I certainly don't want the WTO deciding what supplements I can give my family, nor do I want the guys in Hamburg deciding how much a dollar is worth.
It's all about power and control. If you follow those two things, you will see who stands to benefit, and who loses. I think you will find that the losers are us, the individual countries, particularily the small ones.
In the US there is a fight about the same thing. There are some of us who are looking at the threat to our sovreignity and getting very worried. We don't like what we are seeing in this EU, and we will do whatever we can to stop it here. If we are successful, you might want to consider joining us.

'Bottler' Brown has sold us down the river as far as our sovereignty goes. If as the liar Heath told us at the time of joining years ago it was only to be 'a free trade area' we wouldn't be in this situation. Brown's so called red lines against the authority of the EU are quite simply a nonsense with no power under EU Law.
