If someone has to tell me to trust them, there's usually a good reason not to.
I'm not the most trusting person on the planet, myself. Mostly because my instincts have been really BAD in the past. However, recently, I trusted someone and he was exactly what he had put himself out there to be. It was pretty amazing!

Trust is something that is earned. Just because someone says it doesn't mean that you should unless you truly know the person and their trust has been proven.

Trustworthy people generally don't have to "ask" for trust they usually just get it because they have given people no reason to doubt or mistrust them

When someone I don't know says "trust me" I am automatically suspicious.
