Sheep probably don't have enough intelligence to have the concept of "dating". In fact, the only time a ram would be interested is when the female is in heat. Most mammals are only sexually active when the female is in heat, as sex without the chance of procreation is too dangerous for most animals, since they are more vulnerable to attack by predators while copulating.
Humans and some apes are the exception, because having a male around at all times to protect the female and offspring gave better survival odds in this case even though there is the distraction of sex all the time.

Sheep don't go on dates. I have 23 of them, and believe me they don't. Well, except for a period of about 6 weeks during November and December when we invite the local ram into the field for a visit. At which point the sheep are pretty easy, and certainly don't need to be bought flowers or chocolates or taken out to a glitzy restaurant.
