1. Just plug it into a USB port.
2. Your computer should recognize it right away.
3. It serves as additional storage that is portable. Is separate from your current hard drive. You can remove it and carry it with you and plug it into any computer and have access to your data.
4. If you go to "my Computer" you will see the drive appear as an additional disk/drive.

Please e-mail if you have ?s. You will love having the flash drive ... It holds a lot of stuff and is very convenient.

It does not ser ve as more storage for your HD unless you move stuff from the HD onto it. It should not be used as permanent storage it should only be used to transport data and for temporary storage. To use it, simply plug it into a USB port, your system should recognize it and within a minute put a window up on your screen asking you what you want to do with it. You will see a little icon down in the lower right corner of your screen in the task bar. This is important because to remove the storage drive, you need to left click the icon and click remove before you pull the drive out

if your running windows xp or vista, it should notice the drive automatically when you plug it in. you might have to restart the computer WITH the drive plugged in for it to notice it.

if there was a software disc that came with the drive, be sure to install it first before plugging in the drive.

you'll need to have usb 2.0 installed, but more than likely, you already do.

when it notices it, (down in the bottom right it will tell you if it has) you'll go to "my computer" and you'll see a new drive and letter showing the disk........

never remove the drive while copying info to it. wait till it is finished.

it won't "add more space TO your hard disk", it is its OWN disk, but while add extra room to store things to. its really only a way to have a portable drive you can conveniently carry data on from one computer to another.....

I keep some diagnostic and networking tools on my (for fun) and use it to keep my school work on, so I can take me work from here to school and back.

if it doesn't notice the drive, you'll have some semi complicated work to do.... if your familiar with the device manager, you'll need to go in there and find "other devices" and remove any listed there, then restart the computer with the drive plugged in.....

if you have any problems email me and I'll try to give detailed instructions to help out.

I have the same memory stick accept its 2 GB, anyway you can use it to store absoloutely any files that dont exceed the 4GB capacity. So you can put files on there to give to friends or whoever or use it to open your files at work. You can also use it to back-up any files that you may want to never lose.

It just needs to be plugged into a USB port and can be accessed through "My Computer" usually.

So have fun with it!
