You aren't the only one. I love Jesus, but I'll be so glad when Christmas is over. I'm just getting through. I have many blessings, don't get me wrong. I'm very thankful. There are so many reminders of things I don't want to think about, or have gone from my life, thrown back into my face again. I dislike sentimeint & a lot of things that most people like. My husband, me, & our dogs in our home with peace from people at Christmas is truly enough for me. I'm unplugging our phones & pray nobody comes to the door. How about that? I do hope your sadness disappears & you find some joy & peace for Christmas in your OWN way. :)

They do a li'l bit. My boo, had a...I don't want to say a bad upbringing but it wasn't very positive. When it comes time for the holidays and family coming together, that's the one issue we bump heads on. Family to her means people who are out to take advantage of you, family to me means love, togtherness, support... So when we go to my folks house, even if we have a good time, it still causes her pain, cause she feels resentment since she never had that. Holidays make me sad cause they make my boo sad.

No, the holidays make me irritated. It's not that I completely hate happy, it's that I can't stand how everyone act as though it's such a big deal.

Yes, they make me real sad. I don't have any family. It is an extra lonely time for me. But, I will see all of you here on Christmas day!
